I am a combat-wounded veteran, having proudly served in the United States Army, starting as a cadet and advancing to the role of 13 Bravo Field Artillery Soldier (Cannon Crew Member) and Uniform 6 Field Artillery Mechanic. My unit, the Big Red One, First Infantry Division, received the prestigious Valorous Unit Award, and I personally earned the Combat Action Badge. These experiences, along with my commitment to serving my country, have shaped my resilience, discipline, and leadership skills.
Alongside my military service, I pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico. Since then, I have gained extensive experience in various fields, from sales to administration. I have sold jewelry directly to customers and worked in telemarketing, offering yearly meal plans to hotels and restaurants over the phone. I have extensive sales experience, starting with person-to-person jewelry sales, where I developed strong communication skills and the ability to connect with customers. I also worked in telemarketing, selling yearly meal plans for various restaurants in Puerto Rico over the phone, which helped sharpen my persuasive skills.
I have now been working remotely for over 15 years, leveraging digital platforms in a cyber workspace to maintain professional communication and complete various tasks. In this capacity, I’ve taken on roles such as an administration officer for a work-from-home program and am currently an ambassador for Building Homes for Heroes, an organization that provides mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans and their families.
In 2024, I became certified as a Transcendental Meditation teacher in Kathmandu, Nepal, which has given me the tools to help veterans break the chains of post-traumatic stress disorder, benefiting not just the veterans but their families as well. This teaching role has added a new dimension to my life, allowing me to guide others through their healing process, just as I continue to heal from my own experiences.
