• 1-year Basic Training, EMT/LPN School, Survival School, Flight School.
• 1-year experience in Medical Surgical direct patient care at San Antonio Military Medical Center.
• 4-years experience as in-flight Medical Technician.
• Aerospace Medical Service personnel combine the roles of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and individual specialty technician.
• Care for, observe, and report on post-operative, seriously or critically ill, and injured patients during in-flight operations.
• Prepare and administer medications under charge nurse or physician supervision.
• Perform field medical care in contingency and disaster operations as well as basic life support and triage in emergency situations.
