  • Some of the many tasks I practiced daily while at HMCC were providing medication to inmates daily within a timely manner while observing actions/ looking out for any signs or symptoms of adverse effects
  • Providing medical clearance for incoming inmates through the Sally Port to ensure a hospital visit is not renders prior to intake
  • My position also entailed making sure all care provided was documented appropriately
  • One of the most important tasks that I took on daily was ensuring all the detoxing inmates were checked on multiple times throughout the shift
  • As well as ensuring proper medication was administered according to the inmates COWS/ CIWA scoring
  • One tiny discrepancy could have cost one of those inmates their life so being on high alert for any change in their behavior/ triple checking any care/ medication being provided to the inmate was imminent.
