  • The primary responsibility in this role is to manage the daily gallery security operations and ensure all museum functions are adequately and efficiently supported while leading a team of 75 including 4 Security Managers, 1 Safety Manager, and 70 Security Officers across multiple locations.
  • Serving as a senior member of the Security and Safety Department’s leadership team for the 12th largest art museum in the world which also includes a higher-education institution and two museum houses.
  • Responsible for the asset protection of nearly 80,000 works of art with a total estimated value of more than $1.8 billion in addition to the safety and security of more than 900,000 annual visitors, 650 staff, and more than 1,000 students.
  • Responsible for the Museum Safety Program and the Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) include a full re-write of the document and re-development of the program including acquisition of a wide variety of equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for coordinating the security, safety, and emergency response for a variety of on-site special events at a frequency of more than 300 per year. Also responsible for the staffing of contract security services, contract EMS services, and off-duty law enforcement officers.
  • Set the tone for delivering a high level of customer service to both guests and partner departments while training staff to provide the same.
