At Albany Med as a Nursing Assistant I have many responsibilities. Those include making and delivering hospital beds for patients who are staying the night, and then collecting their stretcher. I also stock the masks, jackets, blankets gloves and more for staff and patient use. I deliver specimens from operating rooms, deliver blood to and from operating rooms and other tasks. Working here at Albany Med has taught me a lot about doing a lot of work and having to do it quickly. It is a fast paced environment when it gets busy.

As a coach at Twist N’ Flip Gymnastics my duties include being the head Ninja Coach as well as being a coach/ counselor for day camps. As the ninja coach I build obstacles with mats and other things for my classes as well as instill confidence in each child I teach. We learn basic stretching, warm up exercises and basic gymnastics as well as climbing and balance with the obstacle courses. During camp we do many activities like games, movies, obstacle courses, pizza parties, snow cone parties and more! This job has taught me a lot about patience as well as remembering to stay happy and childlike at times.

As a laborer at Advantage Waste I had a number of different tasks. Those included riding on the back of the truck and picking up yard waste from peoples homes (Bags of grass, soil, rocks, etc). I also would organize and stack trash and recycling bins at the ware house. Another task was to wash and sticker the trash and recycling bins. Working as a laborer taught me a lot about hard honest work and being able to get through things even when the conditions are tough.
