I worked with my grandpa every Thursday for about 2 months at his church. We organized boxes and brought in tons of food to sort into all different bins so we could then hand out the meals to the people in need of them.
I took honors and advanced placement classes 3 out of 4 years of high school while being on the baseball team all 4 years. I was able to manage playing at a high level while still being able to perform how I wanted and knew I needed to in the classroom.

I have been a golden scholar my first 3 years of high school and am looking to make it a clean sweep. our school requires a 3.8 gpa or higher to receive that honor so I am very proud of being able to say that. I don't like to take the easy way out either, I still take honors and AP classes while still being heavily involved with sports, I like to challenge myself.
Baseball would be good to just say I played and did an extracurricular but it's something I don't take lightly along with my education. I am on a club baseball team year round with tournaments every other weekend. When club winds down it is time for the high school season and that consists of practicing every day for 3 months. It does get challenging having baseball practice the same night I need to study for a big math test. However that doesn't mean that I can not do both, it is what you get when you signed up to play baseball but also your first commitment which is to being the best student you can be. Things will need to be done one way or another, so just do it.
