After I had my daughter in 2023, I began working part-time as a nanny to a former coworker of mine.
This has provided temporary flexibility in both being able to work and raise my daughter. I currently work in just the mornings watching the kids, with the days varying from 1-3 days a week.
I work in the evenings and weekends part-time as a caregiver to my elderly aunt, diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She has no other family to care for her other than myself and one other woman, who is her full-time caregiver. I am responsible for her feedings and basic hygiene, changing her bedding, and keeping her company.
