Summary
I started my work as Wildland Firefighter in 2023, I am looking for a full-time career in being a first responder. My father is a firefighter and I have followed in his footsteps and have been doing seasonal work for Kern County Fire, but since I have been young I have wanted to be a Police Officer. I started out as Wildland Firefighter due to my age, but since I am now 20 1/2, now I would like to pursue a career in Law Enforcement like I have always wanted too. My education is in Fire Science and Technology, as well as I have a certification for Emergency Medical Technician from Bakersfield College. I plan to further my education in Law Enforcement.

As a Wildland Firefighter, I was a swamper, paired up with a Sawyer, the Sawyer cuts brush and as a Swamper I grab what is cut and throw it into the designated area to create a fuel break between the fire and fuel.
