Hunter Urbanczyk

Summary

My name is Hunter Urbanczyk, and I am a 2026 graduate from Munday High School. I grew up working with my dad constructing metal carports, awnings, and barns. I learned a lot about welding and fabricating metal. My first job away from that was being a farm hand for Wilde Farms. I was tasked to learn how to run large equipment and implements. I also had to know everything about each piece of equipment and implement, so that I could be independent and have the know-how to safely operate the equipment. I learned how to work on electrical sources and irrigation systems to help keep the farm running. I worked as hard as I could and as much as I could, and got pretty well known in my community through my dedication. I worked a few small jobs helping out other farmers and employers, doing what I needed to do to help out. Because of my reputation as a hard worker, Barry Ratliff asked me if I would help him construct the exterior walls on his house. I agreed, and after a meticulous welding test, I got the job. I have been an active volunteer at The Big Country Clay Shoot, Knights of Columbus, The Food Bank, Knox County Stock Show, and the MVFD Rodeo. I think with my variety of skillsets, interest in high voltage electrical lines and systems, willingness to work and to be dedicated, I would be a great asset to your company.

Work History

Farm Hand

Wilde Farms
Munday, TX
06.2023 - 01.2026

I operated large-scale farm equipment, such as a John Deere 6R 210, all the way up to a John Deere 9R 540. I worked wheat and cotton ground with a variety of different cultivators and row crop implements. I assisted my co-workers and boss in maintaining all the equipment and irrigation systems, such as tractors, trucks, a variety of different implements, pivots, and poly pipe irrigation systems. In order to keep these machines and implements running, I had to do a complete sweep of the equipment I was running every day. I had to grease bearings, check bolts, check hydraulic systems and fluid levels, oil levels, tire pressures, and electronic systems. Cattle play a big role in the operation; with that, I had to maintain electric fence, barbed wire fence, and water systems. In the winter months, I hard-surface plow sweeps to ensure their longevity and durability.

I mig weld 11 and 14-gauge rectangular tubing to fabricate exterior walls on a house that Mr. Ratlif is constructing for himself. We fabricate these walls in a shop, taking every precautionary step we can to ensure our safety. We wear the proper protective equipment no matter the situation. I learned to operate a telehandler to move these massive walls with ease.
