At King Abdullah University Hospital, a renowned tertiary care and academic institution, I gained valuable clinical experience in various surgical specialties while contributing to both patient care and the academic environment. This dual role fostered my professional development, allowing me to engage in numerous responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Comprehensive Patient Care: Provided high-quality care to surgical patients by conducting detailed histories, physical examinations, and managing patient care throughout the perioperative period, including pre-operative assessments, intraoperative support, and post-operative care, all under the supervision of attending surgeons to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
• Active Participation in Surgical Procedures: Scrubbed in and assisted in a wide range of surgical procedures across various specialties, including vascular, pediatric, bariatric, hepatobiliary, and general surgeries. This hands-on involvement allowed me to participate directly in key surgical tasks, gaining extensive exposure to complex cases and procedural techniques.
• Coordination and Documentation of Patient Care: Acted as a liaison between attending surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to communicate physician orders and ensure seamless coordination of patient care. Additionally, managed all related documentation, including medical records, discharge summaries, and progress notes, to support comprehensive patient care.
• Leadership in Emergency Situations: Demonstrated leadership during emergencies by guiding colleagues at my level in prioritizing critical tasks and addressing complications, ensuring prompt and effective patient care in high-pressure settings.
• Teaching and Learning in an Academic Environment: Engaged with medical students through clinical case discussions, bedside teaching, and mentoring during rounds. In this academic setting, I played a key role in helping students strengthen their clinical reasoning skills. At the same time, I gained valuable insights through academic lectures, and direct interaction with senior surgeons, which significantly enriched my clinical knowledge.
• Foundational Research Experience: Participated in data collection for a vascular surgery research project focused on thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger’s disease). Contributed to the collection and organization of clinical data under the supervision of senior researchers.

Internship Experience

King Abdullah University Hospital

During my internship at King Abdullah University Hospital, I participated in a comprehensive clinical training program across various medical specialties. The rotations included:

• 3 months: Internal Medicine
• 3 months: General Surgery (including 1 month at the ER)
• 1 months: Emergency Medicine
• 2 months: Pediatrics (including 1month at the ER)
• 2 months: Obstetrics and Gynecology
• 1 month: Family Medicine Clinic

Throughout these rotations, I developed strong clinical skills by conducting thorough patient assessments and learning essential emergency room skills. I gained valuable exposure to minor procedures performed in the ER and was trained to handle a wide range of medical conditions and treatment modalities while honing my ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.

During my medical education journey, I provided instruction and support to medical students in anatomy and pathology across multiple platforms, including A+ Academy, a private institution focused on helping students strengthen their academic performance, as well as campus facilities. In this role, I developed tailored teaching materials and conducted interactive study sessions that enhanced students’ understanding and retention of complex topics. Additionally, I offered personalized guidance on effective study techniques and exam strategies, fostering a supportive learning environment.
