Perform teardown and repair main rotor blade (MRB) of Sikorsky UH60M/ UH60L/ S76/ S76D/ S92/ VH92/ S53K:

  • Read and interpreted job orders, drawings and specification per engineer blueprint.
  • Remove defective/ worn-out and associate components (composite blade skin, titanium leading edge trips, sheath/ heatermat, trim tabs, fairings, laminate, cuff...) using pneumatic sander, grinder, air hammer, heat gun.
  • Remove FOD intrusion in blade skin and honeycomb core including water.
  • Install new/ re-used components or skin patches using positive pressure or vacuum, aerospace adhesives, cold expansion with various cure methods from room temperature to hot bond.
  • Install and perform electrical test on sheath/ heatermat, resistance test on wire mesh jumpers using DITMCO machine, megger and multimeter.
  • Shot peen critical UH60M cuff to remove scratch and dent in accordance to military specifications.
  • Seal and water integrity test by submerging MRB using overhead crane.
  • Precision drill, rivet and install nut plate.
