Associate Technical Consultant

Accenture
Hyderabad, India
07.2021 - 11.2023

Worked for client JPMorgan Chase, in their Wealth Management division. My role resided within the
back-office technology team, where we were responsible for developing a commercial grade integral
accounting system known as the Investing Book of Records (IBOR). This system was heavily relied
upon by Portfolio Managers, serving as a comprehensive tool to manage trade and non-trade transactions.
Towards the end of my tenure on this project, IBOR was processing an impressive two million trades
daily. This showcases the robustness and reliability of the system we developed, as well as its pivotal role
in the day-to-day operations of the Wealth Management division at JPMorgan Chase and its clients.

  • Contributed to the development of Investing Book of Records (IBOR), a commercial-grade accounting system processing 2M trades daily, supporting portfolio managers in managing trade and non-trade transactions.
  • Designed, developed, and maintained RESTful/GraphQL APIs and end-to-end integration tests (JUnit, Cucumber) for derivative trades across 10+ microservices.
  • Improved system performance and reduced account seeding time by 95% through Kafka optimizations, DB indexing, distributed caching, batching, multi-node deployments, and load balancing.
  • Implemented monitoring and traceability across distributed services using Sleuth, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Enhanced resiliency and reliability by introducing circuit breakers, incremental retries, batch jobs with distributed locking, and event-driven architecture improvements.
  • Strengthened security via OIDC authorization (IDAnywhere, Spring Security), mitigating vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and CORS issues.
  • Onboarded and promoted TDD/BDD practices (JUnit, Mockito, JMeter, Cucumber, Raven OSS, SSAP) to improve code quality, test coverage, and production readiness.
  • Coordinated multi-service deployments to minimize environment disruptions and optimized CI/CD pipelines for dynamic environments.
  • Collaborated with product managers in Agile sprints for requirement gathering, backlog grooming, and roadmap planning.
