TIC ENTERPRISE LLC started Blue Ocean Snorkeling at Kewalo Basin Harbor as they moved locations from Kaneohe. While maintaining the position of business co-owner I held Chief Mate and Boat Manager responsibilities. As Chief Mate this would involve responsibilities such as business development, marketing, customer relations, and financial management, in addition to handling the day-to-day management of the boat, including maintenance, scheduling, crew management, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations as Boat Manager. This dual role allowed for a comprehensive understanding of both the business and operational aspects.

Boat Manager Responsibilities

• Resolved staff member conflicts, actively listening to concerns and finding appropriate middle ground.
• Onboarded new employees with training and new hire documentation.
• Coordinated and budgeted to maintain the condition of the catamaran.
• Established team priorities, maintained schedules and monitored performance.
• Recruited, interviewed and hired employees and implemented mentoring program to promote positive feedback and engagement.
• Managed senior-level personnel working in marketing and sales capacities.

Chief Mate Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip inspections, ensuring all safety equipment is in place and functioning properly, and adhering to all maritime regulations and company policies.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills by conveying safety instructions, emergency procedures, and route information clearly to passengers.
• Assist in mooring, anchoring, and docking procedures, displaying expertise in handling lines and equipment.
• Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions to maintain readiness for various emergency situations.
• Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of boats and equipment, ensuring a clean and inviting environment for passengers.

Ownership of TIC ENTERPRISE LCC was transferred to myself and husband (Taejin Kim) in 2019. (listed in DCCA) TIC ENTERPRISE LLC used trade name "Blue Ocean Sports Hawaii" to run business.

• Oversaw "Blue Ocean Sports Hawaii," a tour offered in collaboration with Kaneohe Bay Ocean Sports (KBOS) boat, providing guests with extraordinary snorkeling and water sports adventures.
• Monitored and analyzed business performance to identify areas of improvement and make necessary adjustments.
• Developed detailed plans based on broad guidance and direction.
• Controlled costs to keep business operating within budget and increase profits.
• Processed invoices and contacted appropriate parties for timely payment receipt.
• Implemented business strategies, increasing revenue and effectively targeting new markets.
• Built loyal account base and long-term business relationships with accounts.

NOTE: "Blue Ocean Sports Hawaii" as a business ended in 2022 as TIC ENTERPRISE LLC moved locations to Kewalo Basin Harbor that same year running under trade name "Blue Ocean Snorkeling".

• Collaborate with clients from various industries, including products, restaurants, and supermarkets, to create visually appealing and effective advertising campaigns.
• Conceptualize and design a wide range of materials, such as print ads, digital banners, social media graphics, menus, flyers, and packaging designs.
