With 18 years of teaching experience, I am trained to help students succeed. I have worked in many different places and can adapt to any situation. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated adaptability and versatility by successfully navigating various teaching environments and accommodating diverse student needs.
As an international teacher, I have shared cultural exchange experiences for students, colleagues at school, and members of the community. I collaborated with my colleagues, particularly within the math department, to tailor students' needs and help them prepare and acquire necessary math skills, as evidenced by their performance on the state test. Through this collaboration, I have helped my students progress in math, and I have contributed to the high percentage of our students passing the Standard of Learning Test (Virginia State Test).
As a high school math teacher, I expanded my teaching journey to include both junior and senior high school students. Adapting to evolving needs, I taught not only math courses but also research subjects and entrepreneurship. Additionally, I was one of the curriculum writers for the Enhanced Entrepreneurship Curriculum.
As a high school math teacher, I sustained my passion for teaching when I was assigned to a mountainous area where my teaching capabilities were required. Being adaptable, I took on the role of school adviser for the Student Supreme Government while simultaneously refining the math skills of my students. Additionally, I continued to serve as a math coach for Math Expos at various levels.
As a high school math teacher, I embraced the challenge of being assigned to a larger school, where I had the opportunity to share my knowledge, skills, and experiences with a broader population. I continued to enrich students' skills, potentials, and capabilities, witnessing their academic and personal progress. I remained dedicated to inspiring and supporting students as they achieved success in math competitions.
As a high school math teacher, I helped refine my students' literacy and numerical skills. I also contributed to their success by serving as their winning coach for the Math Expo and Science Fair.
As a neophyte teacher, I embraced the opportunity to teach English as a Second Language (ESL), tailoring lessons to individual learning styles and cultural backgrounds. I served as a team leader and received recognition as the Students' Best Choice Awardee. Due to my hard work and dedication, I was awarded a three-month, all-expenses-paid trip to South Korea by the academy where I worked.
