As Co-Founder and CTO of Hapn, I created Hapn's Platform and Product:

• Designed and implemented a GPS platform with industry-leading speed and resilience, reducing latency to seconds and ensuring continuous data integrity. This allowed us to position ourselves in the market with a fast, resilient, and cloud-based platform. At the time, this was a breakthrough in the GPS industry, where latency was typically measured in minutes, not seconds.
• Assembled a high-performing engineering team. Building Hapn with this group of talented people is one of my biggest achievements.
• Spearheaded the development of cutting-edge GPS applications, leveraging AWS, Google Maps, and advanced software engineering principles.

As part of AWS Marketplace, I worked on key projects:

• Participated in the early design and implementation of Marketplace integration directly into AWS consoles. We created a widget framework in React to be plugged into AWS consoles, such as the EC2 instance creation wizard. This provided a seamless experience for users, allowing them to add products without leaving their console.
• Advised and mentored junior engineers on several projects, including AWS Marketplace metrics collection, resulting in improved performance for the logger service.
• Actively participated in many interview loops, helping to find the best talent for AWS and AWS Marketplace.

As part of the Amazon AppStore Coins team, I worked on key projects:

• Designed a new service to generate ads pages using ML to optimize adoption for the Coins product on the Amazon Marketplace.
• Optimized metrics collection for the ML model to improve predictions for Coins, resulting in increased revenue.
• Participated in the early design and conception of new products such as micro payments using coins and AppStore Anywhere.

• Improved the performance of the Data Ingestion process of the EdFabric Core module, increasing processing speed and accuracy
• Designed and implemented the RTI, Online Testing, Forms, and Multi-Tiered Data Analysis modules for the EDIS K12 platform.

• Designed and implemented core modules of UTTO for damage prevention and asset protection, enhancing field tech assessments and survey job visualization
• Developed digital services and visual interfaces to simplify complex underground locate information for non-expert users.

• Created a distributed architecture that scaled to millions of operations per second, directly impacting customer operations
• Designed fault-tolerant strategies to handle high traffic while maintaining high platform availability
• Implemented visual modules for the GPS Tracking Platform, enabling customers to recover stolen goods, rescue personnel, and optimize fleet routing.

• Designed, tested, and supported a Web-based testing application, reducing server load and increasing user access by 90%.

• Enhanced features and functionality for the Recreation Dynamics Virtual POS system, improving user experience and system performance.

• Developed bookkeeping and financial software systems, providing intelligent analysis and budgeting solutions for large enterprises.

• Designed and developed financial software applications, managing the software development lifecycle using Microsoft .NET best practices.
