His crew consists of award winning Architects, Art Advisors/ Installers, Contractors, Landscape Artists, Stagers, Photographers and Videographers. Armed with an MBA in Business Management, fluent in French, Italian and Spanish and English, Brooks skillfully guides his clients through the process of selling, buying and building properties. Ian Brooks is a board member of The Berkshire Hathway Charitable Foundation, and a member of The Assistance League of Los Angeles, as well as The Santa Monica Rotary Club.
Ian Brooks advanced photography class was ranked # 1 with Otis Communication Arts students.
Brooks conducted a photo studio class once a week, and an evening class once a week.
Each 3 hour class started with critique from last weeks assignments , then led into a live photo shoot , with models, stylist, art directors, clients, magazine editors .
Highlights include having students strategize in focus groups and photograph major advertising campaigns ! For brands like Osea Skincare, Mosaic Jewelry, and many more.
Additionally Brooks structured a relationship with A.S.G. ( Action Sports Group) owned by famed skater Tony Hawk and his older brother Steve Hawk, to collaborate with The Otis Fashion Department Students and The Communication Arts Students to produce a magazine ,"MODUS" providing students a creative platform for Photography, poetry , art, fashion trends.
This creative collaboration ,magazine became a "trend forecast " zine for consumers targeting students in the demographic (18-30).
Ian Brooks was a major published photographer, he worked globally for for every major fashion magazine, Harpers Bazaar, L"UOMO VOGUE, ELLE , W MAGAZINE, VIBE, etc.
Brooks also photographed numerous campaigns for PETA, Revlon, Guess.
