Summary

I served 5 years in the United States Army as a Laboratory Petroleum fuel specialist. I have managed anywhere from a 25 gallon drum to multiple 1.4 million gallon underground tanks in Afghanistan. I have driven and qualified on any type of vehicles and semis the Army had to offer in my 5 years. For a little over two years now I have found my passion in driving trucks and Did close to two year as an OTR driver and looking for an opportunity to work close from home and find a company where I can lay down my roots.

  • Ensure each individual container is label with the proper hazardous material place cards for shipping and handling so that the receiver knows how to properly and safely transport the hazardous materials
  • Turn in sample to the corresponding lab or agency for testing such as the Hazardous Material Regulations (HMR) or your local environmental agency that test the samples to make sure they are still in regulation and cleared for use
  • Ran a variety of test inside portable military fuel testing laboratories to determine if the fuel/hazardous materials qualified continued use
  • Determine if any security measures are needed for transport or storage
  • Perform quality control test in above ground tanks for the fallowing types of fuels
  • JP8, Diesel and Mo-Gas for ground transport vehicles.

  • Run Quality control exams such as, Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII), Bottle method , Color and Particulate, matched weight, water content, conductivity and Flash Point
  • All of this exams I follow the guidelines of TO 42B-1-1
  • Sample and maintain 4 separate 1.2 million gallon underground fuel Tanks
  • As well maintain and handle the quality control of the 9 total filter separators
  • Perform equipment calibrations and fix minor issues with the equipment in the laboratory, also send out equipment and fuels to our local area lab for calibration or testing by creating 1149 form
  • Inspect and sample the filter separators and fuel tanks of a fleet of 20 R-11 and R-12 vehicles during a period of a 28 days rotation
  • Perform cold fueling and hot fueling operations on aircrafts with a single point nozzle or an over the wing nozzle
  • Aircrafts I’ve service include but not limited to C130J, F016C, UH60, AOC170, F16,A10, B200,B-300 and C5
  • Performed De-fuel on both R-11 and R12 vehicles with single point nozzles and over the wing nozzles
  • Run control center dispatching vehicles and drivers to the proper location and sending them with the proper information and how many gallons an aircraft has requested
  • Find any discrepancies in the fuel logs and backtrack the fuel we have issued out or receive until I can locate the error
  • Oversee operations of hot and cold refueling while other soldiers or civilian personnel are performing the duties and I observe the operation to make sure they are following the correct procedures.
