I'm a highly motivated worker with strong communication skills in customer service and on an interpersonal level. I also have the ability to multi-task, as my work experience states, I've worked two jobs at once while being enrolled in college at the age of sixteen. Overall, I have a strong desire to connect with others in any possible form that I can accomplish.
I helped open the store from scratch, helping build and form the staff into what it is now through positive communication and teamwork. My responsibilities include creating and serving beverages, running different food items to customers, and all the behind the scenes action that keeps a coffee shop afloat.
On top of work and school, I am an active musician and play live shows for the community of Austin. Music is a way to communicate, so I write with the intention of making people feel the things I cannot express in words. I've brought community together by hosting live events with multiple bands, including a benefit show for Austin Pets Alive, with all proceeds being donated to the non-profit. This requires planning, sourcing community to come together to help, and advertising.
I worked as a barista here, handling everything from taking customer's orders in the drive-thru to creating special recipes to highlight. I started working here shortly after I turned 15, and worked full-time for almost a year before starting college.
I had to learn to effectively communicate and teach young children to improve their physical skills and push through their mental barriers in rock climbing. On top of primarily young children, I would also have to instruct and teach groups of adults. I worked this job at the same time I was working at Summer Moon, along with also being enrolled in college courses.
