As the EP and Software Development Project Manager I was able to manage a range of projects from Videos and TVCs as well as the creation of one the first AI based editing apps for iOS, Vidify (created with a three person team).

  • Vidify was ranked 9th on the app store in it's category initially (ahead of Snapchat), and It was amazing to see my idea come to life as video creation began it's universal evolution.
  • Directed, coordinated development, testing and release of of iOS apps.

Executive Producer/VFX Supervisor

Pixomondo was one of the first companies to implement a 24/hour work cycle in the world of Visual Effects by having different locations around the globe transferring data throughout the day and night. It was an amazing challenge as we helped to evolve remote working and management tools and pipelines.

I was fortunate enough to work on several feature films and commercials with some of the best talent from over five different countries. Feature films included: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Suckerpunch, Dark Tide and Hugo (Oscars for *Best Picture, *Best VFX).

  • Determined project budgets to estimate and control overall project costs (maintaining a profit margin of 30 to 50 percent on all projects).
  • Supervised hiring of all new staff.
  • Supervised both on set and in post production maintaining photo-realistic qualities and supporting the client's vision.
  • Approved procurement of needed services, resources, equipment and supplies.

Zambezi began with myself and two Wieden + Kennedy alums. What started as a small hit team, Zambezi has evolved to a team of over 120 people and remains one of the best in class Ad agencies on the west coast. It was an amazing experience creating and managing teams in every medium (TVC's, Print, Web, and Large Scale Event Media). Clients included: The Los Angeles Lakers, Teva, Upshot, Vitamin Water and many others.

  • Re-Designed the Lakers general media approach and deliveries including creating a new lighting grid for the Staples Center to create a more intimate in-game experience.
  • Developed strong partnerships with other businesses to allow for collaboration and more significant opportunities for growth.

As one of the original founding members of Luma, I was able to be directly involved in growing the company from a small 5-person team to one over 300 in 3 different cities. We were one of the first VFX companies able to handle large feature films with smaller crews and pushed the boundaries of photo-realism. Feature films include: Crash (*Best Picture), No Country for Old Men (*Best Picture), Apocalypto, Into the Blue, Underworld, and many others.

  • Budgeting/Estimating for feature films and commercials both before and after production.
  • Hired, managed, and scouted incoming staff, established and monitored goals, conducted performance reviews and administered salaries.
  • On set and post production supervision for feature films and TVCs.
