Accomplishments
- Deployed a Top Quartile Top Computing (TQTC) program with high-performance computing and storage via a “Step-Change Program” to help Shell unlock the values in sub-surface data acquisition investments to the tune of >$250mln by significantly increasing compute power by > 300% and Storage Capacity by similar % (6.5 Petabytes) within a year. This was concluded during the height of the covid pandemic and remote working and having to adjust to co-ordinating resources remotely and taking shipments of earlier ordered hardware. During same period increased network capacity via fibre which also double as a network redundancy solution.
- Deployed Single Sign-on Solution for SAP in Shell: This was after 2 previous failed attempts by a different team. Major deal breaker was recruiting the right resource to join the team. In addition to applying resource management skills, a high level of emotional intelligence and people skills was the deal breaker.
- Recruited to deploy the SAP Hana Solution for all Shell Companies in Nigeria. This was a 15million dollar project and my first project with High Risk Complexity rating. It required special Infrastructure lead skills, project management skills, and enterprise change management skills. Four different new technologies were being deployed and a support organization set up and trained to handle the services. Shell Companies in Nigeria via this project was the first in Shell Upstream to deploy on the new target operating environment.
