  • Leak Testing: Endoscopes are then checked for leaks to ensur there are no damages or defects that could compromise their functionality or sterilization
  • This step involves submerging the endoscope in water or using a specialized leak tester to detect any leaks
  • Dissassembly: Endoscopes are carefully disassembled according to manufacturer instructions, separating removable components such as biopsy channels, suction valves, and other detachable parts
  • This allows for thorough cleaning and effective sterilization of all parts
