▪ Assists with supervision, provides safety guidance, and determines whereabouts of clients.

▪ May be responsible for monitoring day-to-day health and safety concerns such as physical health, hygiene, and food intake.

▪ May utilize and teach approved curriculum.

▪ Participates in delivering valuable experiences for growth and development for clients.

▪ May monitor and record client growth and development on a daily basis.

▪ Assists with demonstrating and teaching primitive living skills, use of field equipment, gear, and supplies necessary for successful participation in the program.

▪ May report efforts in weekly meetings with supervisors, clinicians, and other applicable staff.

▪ Communicates client progress with members of treatment team.

▪ Show up at 8am and wake toddler up.

▪ Made sure child got dressed in the morning, cleaned his toys from previous nights playtime, and used the bathroom before instructing him in brushing his own teeth.

▪ I made sure toddler ate breakfast and had snacks throughout the morning. Letting him have 2 cups of milk a day while I was there.

▪ Once fed and cleaned, the day normally commenced with an educational children's Youtube video. (Blippi)

▪ After midday snack, I would usually take him outside and draw letters, alphabets, and shapes in chalk I brought with me.

▪ Making sure he stayed hydrated with water, I would walk him to the park in his wagon and watch him as he played on the jungle gym.

▪ Assisted in potty training techniques and occasional cleanups.

▪ Put child to bed for naptime by 1:30pm, the end of the work day.

Mon-Fri

• Cabin Counselors assist their assigned campers in activities across camp and supervise groups of 8-10 children following their daily schedule.
• The main responsibility of all counselors is supervision of a bunk or cabin while at activities, in between their scheduled activities, over free space, at mealtimes and at night (most counselors sleep in a cabin with their campers).
• You become the replacement parent, problem solver, health & safety officer, motivator, justice of the peace, and cheerleader. You are also the key role model.
• Worked with the lower girls unit ages 8-14 as well as the upper boys units ages 14-26.
• Lived on camp for 10 weeks straight during Covid 2020 quarantine. Lived with campers for 7 weeks straight taking one day break a week.
• Experience with special needs autism, tourettes, siezure active children and teens. Teens with anxiety, ADHD, ADD, confidence issues, body issues, and anxiety disorders.
• Made sure campers took medications, ate meals, woke up and slept all on time.
• Filled in positions where needed.
