I plan to report to the Head Field Director and therapist while assisting head, other assistant instructor, and therapists to ensure outstanding field safety and client supervision. I will assists in providing direct care and teaching primitive living and outdoor skills to clients. I will exercise my best judgment regarding the immediate physical health, safety, and welfare of clients and show the ability to judge when situations require immediate attention from Head instructor.
▪ Assists with supervision, provides safety guidance, and determines whereabouts of clients.
▪ May be responsible for monitoring day-to-day health and safety concerns such as physical health, hygiene, and food intake.
▪ May utilize and teach approved curriculum.
▪ Participates in delivering valuable experiences for growth and development for clients.
▪ May monitor and record client growth and development on a daily basis.
▪ Assists with demonstrating and teaching primitive living skills, use of field equipment, gear, and supplies necessary for successful participation in the program.
▪ May report efforts in weekly meetings with supervisors, clinicians, and other applicable staff.
▪ Communicates client progress with members of treatment team.
▪ Show up at 8am and wake toddler up.
▪ Made sure child got dressed in the morning, cleaned his toys from previous nights playtime, and used the bathroom before instructing him in brushing his own teeth.
▪ I made sure toddler ate breakfast and had snacks throughout the morning. Letting him have 2 cups of milk a day while I was there.
▪ Once fed and cleaned, the day normally commenced with an educational children's Youtube video. (Blippi)
▪ After midday snack, I would usually take him outside and draw letters, alphabets, and shapes in chalk I brought with me.
▪ Making sure he stayed hydrated with water, I would walk him to the park in his wagon and watch him as he played on the jungle gym.
▪ Assisted in potty training techniques and occasional cleanups.
▪ Put child to bed for naptime by 1:30pm, the end of the work day.
