Spent career growing and creating Fine Arts programs during periods of exponential growth. 18 years of experience in all grade levels, working closely with educators in Art, Music, Band, Choir, Dance, Theater and Musical Theater Departments. Experience as a Waxahachie ISD A+ Academics UIL Elementary Coordinator.

  • Assisted in search for new Fine Arts staff through a variety of avenues, including professional Arts organizations, colleagues throughout state, and FA departments at universities while working with principals to hire the best candidates.
  • Designed digital Fine Arts lesson plan templates to address needs of FA teachers and meet standards set forth by District and State policies.
  • Created District Assessment Rubrics to measure Student Growth
  • Created Secondary Choir and Elementary Music Scope and Sequence
  • Opened 3 new campuses.
  • Obtain and submitted quotes from vendors for specialty equipment and instruments to be used by all Fine Arts Departments.
  • Wrote a grant that was approved to start new One Voice Honor Choir program for students across 9 elementary campuses. Directed this program for 6 years.
  • Successfully built up choral department from staff of 2 to staff of 5 certified Fine Arts Teachers and 1 paraprofessional by recruiting, program strength through providing professional development opportunities, encouraging cooperation among Arts disciplines within the district, and expecting excellence in all levels of Fine Arts performances throughout the district, K-12.

  • WHS Choirs also supported and participated school organizations and events outside the Fine Arts department such as providing soloists for football, baseball, and basketball games, performing for Veterans Day Assemblies and Graduations.
