Over 20 years of experience working for (DOD) Department of Defense Navy (Log.Com.) Logistics Command at (MDMC) Maintenance Depot Marine Command, (PPB) Production Plant Barstow. My current job title/ position is (HMEM-WL) Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic-Work Leader performing various tasks such as administrative, management, planning and scheduling, hands on repairing workload duties, in charge of directing and leading a team of HMEM personnel, employees, subordinates, delegating workload, processes, for efficiency and process, procedure improvements at PPB. Throughout my leadership position as a HMEM journeymen, I’ve gained knowledge of industrial organization manufacturing skills, working systems, assembling, disassembling, production processes, engineering processes, viewing schematics, drawings, diagrams on various heavy mobile equipment vehicles, assets, components, subsystems keeping in mind policies, and regulations pertaining to industrial property administration and management, (SOP) Standard Operating Procedures; everything involving production activities for the U.S. military. I’ve had leadership training as well as (CPI) certified parts inspector where I inspected various parts components and assemblies. I have years of experience leading mechanics, supervising, and training subordinates in the field of mechanics while working together in team building among the workforce and management labor relations. As an (AFGE) American Federation of Government Employees union steward for over 7 years during my career at PPB, I’ve received EEO training, and performed administrative, clerical and technical duties in preparation for reports, briefs, and presentations given in union. As a leader I’ve been over and in charge of tracking high dollar assets such as military vehicles, calibrated tool items, shop property items (etc.)19 years into my civil service I returned to community college to complete my associate degree and on to Park University acquiring my bachelor’s degree in psychology. Through my education and experience working for the federal government I have gained wisdom, knowledge, skills subject matter expertise in various aspects, views, systems, fundamentals, foundations and competencies of multiple civil service occupations, departments, divisions and operations. Further work experience gained during my career I refer to as NON-Official details where I was temporarily assigned duty stations at PPB, for light duty, and medical/ accommodating areas; such as the warehouse and indirect labor areas like (PMD) Program Management Division. I’ve gained years’ experience regarding and performing production control tasks working alongside planners, production controllers and engineering technicians within the scope of these positions. I’ve performed work with (MMD) material management division duties such as kitting, material handling, expediting, warehousing, quality control, and logistic warehousing/ material staging. In addition, I am proficient and educated in safety protocols, activities, carrying out the functions involving trades safety protocols, along with all departments within the MDMC organization/agency becoming, maintaining the knowledge of a (CDSR) Collateral Duty Safety Representative. I’m also aware, knowledgeable, proficient and educated in the web-based systems and software used by DOD/PPB/Log. like SharePoint; TMDE; MCPALMS; and FEDLOG to name a few. I’m motivated to perform learn, adapt, overcome, problem solve all obstacles to fulfil and execute the task, job, and/or mission at hand. I’ve always received higher than average performance scores on my yearly evaluations from my upper chain of command no matter the shop, division, or duty station I am assigned. I look forward to advancing in upward mobility within my federal employment to continue my efforts in being a valued asset for the agency/organization to which I am applying. My education and years of experience as a mechanic work leader in same or similar capacities qualifies me for the position of PRODUCTION CONTROLLER. I am aware and knowledgeable how each division/department here at MDMC work in accordance with applicable military standards, process and procedures.
