Summary

When working as a cashier, I ring out items and bag the for the customers. This job promotes customer service as well as responsibility with handling money. Currently I work around 10 hours a week as a scheduled cashier.


When scheduled as a Customer Service Lead (CSL), I am considered to be in charge of the cashiers. I manage the money in the drawer by performing cash pickups as well as placing appropriate change in the drawers. When the cashiers need help I am the first person they are to page to solve the issue. Issues can range from multiple miss-scanned items, causing a need for a register override, price checks, rainchecks and simply questions from a customer. I manage the cashiers and the Easy Scan attendants' breaks. I count the drawers (at Tops we call it either "Blue or Green Boxing"). I am also responsible for closing the registers at the end of the night. I am more often scheduled as a Customer Service Lead at least 16 hours a week.
