Clinical duties include: administration/monitoring of conscious sedation(utilizing high alert medications via IV drip), awareness and monitoring of all electrolyte protocol with appropriate replacement therapy, proficiency concerning burn dressings and extensive wound care per facility and MD guidelines, management of cardiogenic and septic shock, fluid resuscitation, and knowledge of acute burn life support algorithms and interpretations.
Registered Nurse responsible for providing quality care to critical/high acuity patients requiring ventilator support. Clinical duties include: medication administration, initiation/monitoring of critical drip medications, tracheostomy care care w/ suctioning, ventilator maintenance, telemetry interpretation with monitoring and wound care. Charge Nurse responsibilities include overall maintenance of nursing unit, infection control monitoring, enforcement of policies/procedures, adherence to CDC/DHH protocols, code/rapid response leadership, while utilizing adequate nursing judgement.
