Growing up I traveled around the country playing competitive basketball for aau programs based in both Vancouver and Portland. I played through high school and most recently played at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls Oregon. Over the years I've coached multiple elementary school teams and volunteered at multiple camps. I developed an interest in cooking from my mother. I always loved her cooking and thought of it as a valuable skill to master as a young adult. Originally weightlifting was used as a way to improve my sports performance. However overtime I developed a separate passion for the activity itself. It improves both my physical and mental health and is something I enjoy doing with friends and family. I first began traveling out of state for basketball tournaments in middle school. Seeing different places with cultural norms other than those I'm accustomed to have altered my perspective on life. Traveling introduces me to different people, different foods, and different styles of living.
