My, plan is to; complete my education while working at the best company that I can find, that has the most diverse, and opportunity orientated production plan so that the value and profit of, not only the company will increase annually, But the value of our customers, and employee's will also. I plan to be one of the top safety representatives of my company's ideas and moral standards in a capacity that will make all of the processes and management programs, take control of the industry or industries that our process company is associated with. And last but least, to be the best team member/leader and to always be open to everyone's opinion, because the best ideas don't always come from the top. Safety is the base for a successful work career, my goal is to be sure Everything and Everyone is safe. Best Practices, Best Results 100 percent of the time.

Journeyman Roofer

  • Fill out JSA's, make sure scaffolding has been inspected by the competent person on the job site, to make sure all harnesses are in good and working condition, without any damages
  • This also included but not limited to D-rings, buckles, lanyards
  • I also worked as Journeyman Roofer while on the job; installing Iso Board Roofing and TPO/(Thermoplastic Polyolefin)
  • Other duties on the job, to make sure all yo-yo's retracted correctly and had no damages, to take any and all damaged equipment, tools, and scaffolding out of service without any delay
  • Also to enforce 'My Brothers Keeper Protocol'
  • And last but not least to make sure all Harness Inspection sheets, Vehicle and Equipment Inspection sheets are turn in daily
  • Rate of Pay- $30.00 hr

  • To fill out quick jsa's for each job site and to check brass count, so that we know how many employees we have for our shift
  • We then would begin our hazard control meeting to eliminate all hazards, slips, trips and falls, pinch points, and to check all respirators and Scott air packs
  • Then we would match the right employees to the right job, then as a leader man, I would get my crew and go to our job sight and conduct a safety meeting for our job while we waited for hot work permits, and sniff test
  • Then we began work building forms for concrete and cut wire, rebar, to tie into the form to stabilize and strengthen the concrete
  • From this point we begin pouring the concrete and finishing it, we brush and trial the concrete until it has a smooth slick look to it

  • To come on shift and take report from the operator on duty, and to find out what problems I need to look out for and troubleshoot on my shift
  • Then find out how much tonnage is needed to end his shift, and how much is needed for my shift, and what type of plastic, what extruder are we running on
  • What do I need to change extruders, or do we need an air transfer from another extruder or boxcar
  • If the shift has not dropped on my shift (finished loading its sheet) then it has started on my loading sheet, and no changes are needed, but if the shift has dropped on my shift then I must complete his shift and finish his load sheet, and then start on my sheet and make the changes needed to start my load sheet
  • If needed change extruders or make an air transfer from a boxcar, if so monitor the transfer flow for any problems that might come up during the transfer
  • Last but not least, to call maintenance if a problem keeps coming up on shift and make a detailed report to the supervisor on shift and turn in the report asap, so that Production will not stop or slow down

  • To come on shift 15 minute's early and take report from the Finish End Tec, to find out what problems the shift has had and what can be done too stop it from continuing on my shift, and work together before his shift is over
  • We must determine what is the root cause of the problem and then use our P.O.O
  • Too stop and eliminate the problem for good and if the problem can't be solved then how can we bypass it in the process
  • Once all problems have been solved then I find out what product we are running and if the product will change during my shift
  • And how many Board Feet are needed to finish his shift, and how many Board Feet are needed for my shift
  • My other duties included, but not limited to 'driving the fork lift, painting the Wafer Board, running the Strapper machine, paint the OSB, and tagging and grading all products on the finish end production line
  • And finally to make sure that the work area is always clear trash and debris

    Safety is my strength in my employment history and has always been the best platform for me to build my job base on Every job that I have been on, I have been assigned or volunteered for as a safety person,to improve the amount of safety protection, and monitoring of special problems and factors in many aspects of process production My most recent job with Ranger Roofing, I Implemented a very stringent and strict Environmental Compliance Program which contained very by the book zero tolerance for oops or misleading information or mistakes I used administrative controls, verbal and hand's on training, and coaching by monitoring every single person and step in the process of hazardous waste management and removal the GPX work site for the last 2 years, the process consisted of as follows: Building of secondary environmental containment of fumes, liquids,and sometimes solids in the process of depression of cav- grip tanks making sure to follow all guidelines as instructed by: OSHA,NIOSH, GPX, AND MCDERMOTT I have a zero tolerance for the none use of PPE as required, it must go beyond I Implemented into the process, that all time's when a employee is going to be near, around or in the barricades of the containment ", that they shall wear the PPE recommended for that job I also put in zero tolerance for "Breaking Barricades" in any form or at any , except in Loss of life Situation or Major Destruction of Equipment, Property and Environment Those are just some of the things that I have been doing while working with McDermotts Environmental Team as contractor I would willing to sit and talk about all my experience that I in Safety with you
