Project

The fiber optic project led by me started as a small initiative and grew into a massive undertaking involving engineering and manufacturing management. I focused on training operators to maintain, test, and clean cables effectively. With management support, a successful rebranding of our fiber optic cables was implemented to improve passing rates of crochet boards. Additionally, a systematic approach to changing cables based on their lifespans was introduced to prevent board failures. This project stands as a testament to effective leadership, innovative strategies, and a commitment to quality and efficiency in manufacturing.

Project

Played a key role in implementing a system to bring board components directly to individual lines, eliminating the need for operators to constantly walk to parts prep for each board assembly. By having components readily available on the line, we significantly reduced time wastage and improved accuracy in board assembly. This optimization not only boosted efficiency but also enhanced overall productivity by ensuring that operators could focus on building boards without interruptions, leading to smoother operations and increased output."

Project

  • As a Women in STEM ambassador, I spearheaded a project to organize a summer networking event for the WISTEM group, aiming to bring together women working in various STEM fields. To promote inclusivity, I successfully extended the reach of the group to include women in manufacturing, ensuring that they too could benefit from the networking opportunities and support offered by the WISTEM community.
