During this job position, I would be assigned a different classroom to assist in. Ages ranged from 4-month-olds to 6-year-olds.

• Designed creative lesson plans that incorporated hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences to foster curiosity and engagement in young learners.
• Ensured a safe and nurturing environment for all students, adhering to health and safety guidelines in the classroom.
• Assisted and supervised 200+ children through entire school day.

During this brief volunteer work, a few classmates and I worked on the effect that different spacer and cage cations had on PbI2 Crystals, or perovskites. My main focus was on formamidinium as well as the diameter of crystals that were formed between 100 degrees Celcius to 50 degrees Celsius. Overall, during this process, I learned how to operate machinery such as an ICP-MS and a spectrophotometer. I also solidified my accuracy in reading and recording data points, as well as drawing conclusions and discussion questions from the data.

During this internship, a high school colleague and I partnered to see how the incubation period affected the effectiveness of the cortisol kits that R&D Systems manufactures. I altered dependent variables, recorded data, drew conclusions about the collected data, ran high-tech machines, learned how to clean and calibrate glassware and mechanics, and much more.
