English as a Second Language (ESL)/Math Instructor
- Planned and implemented CCR-aligned face-to-face, online, contextulized and hybrid lessons for ESL and ABE students to positively increase vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, listening and math skills.
- Established positive classroom management boundaries to create safe and culturally sensitive environment in the classroom.
- Developed level-based print and online teaching materials to supplement standard curriculum, enhance learning concepts and promote student engagement to meet diverse learning styles.
- Took part in the Integrated Digital English Acceleration (I-DEA) program. The program taught English language skills in the context of college and careers for learners who face the largest language gaps. It started in 2013 as a three-year pilot program of Washington's community and technical college system with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
- Evaluated student progress to offer timely and meaningful recommendations for further development.
- Graded students work based on completion, timeliness and accuracy and kept detailed records of grades.
- Performed data entry to input student grades and attendance records with Excell and Canvas.
