• Floated to: Orthopedics trauma unit; Cardiac Step-down unit; Rehabilitation unit and observation unit40% of the time
• Mentored and coached RN students, new grad nurses, LPNs, and new RN hospital staff
• Provided quality care for level one trauma patients, stroke alert patients, acute MI, multiple bed bound patients and patients in isolated units

• Duties included patient assessment, triage and prioritized services rendered in the area
• Critical thinking; supervise and delegate nursing staff (LPN, CNA)
• Preparing and administering medications & immunizations
• Patient education: procedures, medications, diets, and control disease
• Assist physician in elaborated procedures like placing and removal of sutures
• Removal of foreign bodies
• Wound care
• IV solution therapy
• In-house laboratories (collecting and processing blood specimens, STD testing, UA, glucose test, PT INR test; throat, and wound culture, etc.)
• Managing and monitoring patients with abnormal and critical lab results
• Stabilizing and transferring patients to local hospitals
• Other duties include maintaining proper documentation; medical records and training new staff, etc
