As a paid reading tutor, with nine years of experience teaching phonics and structured literacy to early elementary students, I supported student growth mindset and social emotional learning. I completed assessments of student skills, collaborated with lead and assistant teachers, and conducted countless tutoring sessions. In a busy coffee/lunch restaurant, I excelled in quality customer service and effective communication in a tight knit team. Through my work at a local juice truck in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I developed a strong skill set in customer service and studied the inner workings of what it takes to run a successful small business. As a summer clerk at a criminal defense and personal injury law firm, I utilized my skills in organization to ensure that the flow of paperwork in the office ran smoothly.
