While working in the CVICU, I have continued providing high quality patient care with a new patient population. Added skills sets in caring for cardiac surgery patients, donor patients, and trauma patients. This job position has increased my comfort level in providing care for a more critical population of patients. More common device management, more medication drips for titration, and a larger community to serve have all helped me grow in my medical career. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to shift lead the CVICU. This experience has strengthened my problem solving and allowed me to become a resource for all my nurses. This last year I have completed my ECMO certification and have continued learning about the care they require.

• Provided exceptional care to high-acute patients needing complex care such as ventilator management, extensive wound care, and medication titrations.
• Provided didactic and clinical instructions to orient new nurses and potential student nurses to achieve training outcomes.
• Implemented medication and IV administration, catheter insertion, and airway management.
• Conferred with physicians to discuss diagnoses and devise well-coordinated treatment approaches.
• Collected blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens and prepared for lab testing.
• Managed quality care for patients with heart failure, end-stage renal disease and coronary artery disease.
• Monitored patient condition by interpreting and tracking EKG readings, identifying irregular telemetry readings and updating team members on changes in stability or acuity.

• Supervised work activities of farm laborers and provided instruction and guidance.
• Operated tractors and self-propelled machinery to plow and fertilize soil.
• Prepared and administered vaccinations and medications to animals.
• Repaired farm equipment, completing both emergency, and preventive maintenance quickly and accurately.
• Loaded and unloaded farm supplies and materials and stored in correct barn location.
• Maintained and repaired fences, buildings and other farm structures as part of groundskeeping duties.
