  • I worked at sites across the US learning different aspects of the business. I first visited an aircraft in Heavy Check in Tucson. This gave me a deeper appreciation for the asset and a valuable understanding of the hands on work that goes into maintaining the asset. I then spent time working in offices learning more on marketing, pricing and general management. I am pleased to have produced a database capturing over 80 aircraft and their leases aiming to improve company visibility and price modelling accuracy. This work developed my communication, excel and critical thinking skills.

  • Resident in UCL halls during the program, it provided exposure to engineering companies, techniques and experiences. I attended seminars on relevant materials ranging from structural to aeronautical engineering. Following these seminars I engaged in work activities related to the material covered such as designing and optimizing airplane airfoils. This involved both individual and team roles allowing me to practice independent and collaborative skills whilst learning valuable engineering techniques.

  • Ad hoc work focused on a variety of landscaping jobs to improve usability of space as well as maintenance utilizing different equipment such as trimmers and saws. This role gave me experience with more physically intensive work as well as developing my customer relations skills.
