I have thought about working in Law Enforcement my whole life and I have always appreciated the sense of accomplishment after providing life saving measures . Being a first responder has taught me many critical decision making skills and i can apply that to being a Trooper, such as efficient time management and working under pressure in high stress situations. Working in the capacity of a CNA I have built up the ability to communicate as effectively as possible with people who have cognitive deficits such as Dementia, Down-Syndrome, and other disabilities. The State Troopers are a jack of all trades that wear many hats of which there are many that i need to learn, however i believe that the skills that i have acquired in my time as a first responder and nurse aid will make me a valuable asset to the Pennsylvania State Police.
