Held responsibility for educating myself, and voters of their local state senate and house races.

walked 10 hour days, 5 days a week, with a shorter 8 hour shift on Saturdays.

Assumed responsibility for mishaps in literature or otherwise before voters were confronted with incomplete/inaccurate information.

Learned how to disagree effectively and was able to move many discussions into a more productive space leaving both parties happy to have participated.

Assumed responsibility for the spiritual, physical, and mental well-being of ~12 boys, which would be paired with 1 or 2 other groups of 12, to make a company.

This included numerous responsibilities, my favorite of which were teaching, and mentoring youth in developing their own personal testimonies and having their own spiritual experiences.

By and Large, I had wonderful, incredible youth. But this job also taught me a great deal of patience, and emotional self-awareness so as to not treat everyone else unduly for problems that occurred earlier in the day.

• Organized community service projects such as Yard work for the elderly, and Dutch Classes
• Taught in numerous languages through translation and through reference to scripture. encouraged individual spiritual self-development and management.
• When appropriate, taught hour long sermons on the scripture readings for the week.
• Everything that I did as a missionary was self-started, self-organized, and intrinsically motivated. I learned the value of hard work, and the true meaning of diligence. Especially when the outcomes were not matching what I desired. This taught me to measure my inputs, and then determine if the inputs I am putting in, are creating the outcomes that I desire.

• Made and memorized the Sandwich orders of many regulars, engaging in small talk
• Was largely left to my own devices (as I primarily opened by the end) in keeping the Store up to professional, hygienic standards of cleanliness and ingredients stocks.
• Handled catering orders, both in arranging the order itself, preparing the order, and making certain of pickup.
• Was the premier choice in training new employees in each store that I was moved to. Employees trained under me typically had the least problems out of all new hires. This included first in first out stocking, sufficiently stocked ingredients with minimal spillage due to over prep, and a wonderfully clean store.
• Personal bragging rights; Oktoberfest is a major event in La Crosse, unfortunately for my employer, I was making a pilgrimage, and as such would not be available to open the day of Oktoberfest proper. As such, when they had me open the day before I left they had me prepare over 240 loafs of bread in the first 3 hours of my shift. The normal, maximum prep speed of the equipment in the store I was in could do about 60 loafs an hour. But doing more than 90 in a 2 hour period was difficult due to prep counter space. The moral of the story is that I make the technically possible, achievable, consistently.

I pulled weeds, and did odd errands for the apartment complex as a whole. Very part-time by the end. At which point I was on call for if a Mudslide came through, or if the complex desperately needed to be shoveled, etc...

My first ever hourly job, it taught me to appreciate the value of money in a way that nothing else truly ever has.
