Isabela Woller

Working with community health workers and other members of the Midvale CBC leadership to create volunteer and outreach opportunities for the Midvale Clinic. Most recently, I have worked with the other leadership at other student-led clinics to put together the Spring Into Wellness Fair, a free health fair tailored towards underserved patients to provide screenings, vaccines, dental care, and more.

I recently joined the leadership team for the PrEP clinic at the University of Utah. This is a free clinic that provides HIV pharmacological prevention and education for any patient who needs it, especially those who are uninsured.

• Welcoming and rooming patients and their parents, discussing visit and taking vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight.
• Administering vaccines, medication, and inhalation treatments as needed to children between ages of 2 days and 24 years. Performing phlebotomy and running urinalysis, stool samples, and viral testing when necessary.
• Using EPIC to schedule appointments, document delivered medications, and work with a team of physicians and nurses to deliver the best patient care possible.

• Welcoming and rooming patients and their parents, confirming reason of visit and taking vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight.
• Administering vaccines, medication, and inhalation treatments as needed to children between ages of 3 days and 21 years.
• Scheduling appointments, documenting delivered medications, and working with a team of physicians, nurses and other medical assistants to deliver the best patient care possible.

Welcoming patients into the Utah CARE fair, a medical fair to give free healthcare to all who need it. This was serving the Utah underserved population, especially uninsured and undocumented patients. I also was interpreting Portuguese and occasional Spanish for those who do not speak English.

• Assisting in the collection, processing, and recording of samples for a pediatric liver study done by the Childhood Liver Disease Research Network at the University of Utah

• Opening and closing daily bar operations, including managing finances and stocking of the bar and food items.
• Making and serving food and alcoholic drinks to guests, including monitoring guests' alcohol consumption and answering any questions.

Working with adults with disabilities, assisting with running activities such as dance class, arts and crafts, and puzzles. I also assisted during mealtime, with distributing food and helping residents eat if needed.

• Calling various labs around the country to ask if they are available to process COVID-19 tests in order to increase availability and response rate of these tests in underserved areas

• Greeting patients as they enter the ophthalmology clinic, helping them check in, ensuring they are wearing the correct mask and answering any questions

• Standing at the entrance of the hospital, greeting patients and offering masks, sanitizer, and directions

• Updating the Utah Nonprofit Information Services (UNIS) with current information by comparing 990 Tax forms with the present database

• Initiating and closing daily Club operations including management of facilities integrity
• Management of non-membership finances and member assistance (Check-in, court reservations, general information)
• Used computer program Paramount Management, as well as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
