Accomplishments
I successfully founded and ran an after school reading enrichment program called the Word Painters at Carl Schurz Elementary School in New Braunfels, TX from the years 2013-2017. Here, I hosted anywhere from 12 to 25 at risk elementary students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade in themed games and activities centered around reading comprehension. This was done with the goal to instill a love of reading into struggling students.
