- Looked after five children (ages 0-16) full-time during family emergencies/crises.

- Maintained a safe, clean and allergen-safe environment for the children, who have multiple food allergies.

- Kept calm and patient under pressure or when managing a situation/emergency.

- Cooked nourishing meals on the daily and adhered to all diet restrictions.

- Played games with and conversed with the children, as well as supervising their schooling while Mom was away.

- Experienced and resolved a more than fair share of tantrums.

- Supervised and followed through with any directions Mom gave for chores/schooling/etc., and oversaw daily/nightly routines and chores for the children.

- Led the children by example and showed them how to resolve conflict without fighting.

- Kept vigilant watch over children, whether inside or outside the house, and administered first aid/allergic reaction protocols when necessary.

- Always displayed kindness and attentiveness with children.

- Usually babysat for an 8-9 year old child, though sometimes looked after family dog or other children (ages 2-9) at the same time.

- Adhered to the parents' directions on routine, eating, schooling, etc.

- Played with and read to the child, as well as supervised schooling (as needed).

- Supervised meals and maintained a clean space for the child.

- Kept close watch on child and family dog when going on walks or playing outside the home.

- Effectively handled and resolved tantrums.

- Always treated child with kindness and patience.

- Showed up on time every Friday during Lent to help ready the kitchen and dining area for Fish Friday dinners.

- Worked the tickets/register up front a handful times earlier in the evening, as needed.

- Always smiling, kind, and attentive to the patrons, especially parents, young children and elderly people, whether they needed help with carrying food or if they asked for any other assistance.

- Cleared and cleaned off empty tables, as well as checking on and offering to take used plates and cups from patrons.

- Staying afterward every week (unless I was needed at home earlier) to clean up the dining area by clearing/cleaning tables, stacking chairs, picking up stray garbage, etc.

- Each week entailed about 4-5 hours of volunteer time, with minimal in between.
