Dependable and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant known for handling animals with relative ease and gentleness. Committed to learning new tasks and considered highly motivated employee. Willing to take on additional shifts while providing great care to animals. Dedicated candidate with extensive experience providing support to animals. Skilled in monitoring animal vitals and meeting task deadlines. Highly organized and works well in team environments.
I am going to start attending classes at the end of August studying Animal Science, as my ultimate goal is to obtain a DVM and become a small and large animal veterinarian. I am eager to work in a fast-paced animal hospital/clinic environment prior to school, as well as during to ensure I can financially support myself while also obtaining hands-on experience in this field.
Dog Walker and Fosterer at CCAC - 2797 Sams Creek Rd, Pegram, TN
Before officially becoming employed at CCAC, I first stepped in as a volunteer tending to the cats and dogs, participating in play groups, field trips for the animals, adoption events, fundraisers, etc. I also began fostering for the shelter, from having a "fospice" (foster-hospice) dog with terminal lymphoma, to cats needing hydrotherapy and little 2 week-old kittens requiring around-the-clock bottle feeding and stimulating.
In my spare time, I love to create. It is an incredibly beneficial creative outlet for me to decompress. My artwork typically focuses on animals, nature, and surreal imagery.
