  • Shadyside High School TSA selected team members.
  • Collaborated with three other teammates on a selected team compete with other teams. The teams were given an essay, multiple choice test and to create a physical prototype to provide a solid solution for the given task(s). I was selected for my first-year student- Senior years.
  • Cheerleading team member for Shadyside High School’s Varsity Team/Competition Team/Traditional team and Cheer Varsity Captain
  • I cheered for my high school for 6 years. I tried out my fifth-grade year to my 11th grade and was selected out of 12-20 girls each year.
  • I collaborated with my teammates and my coaches for years. I have been part of the conversations of new routines, how to improve my team and was able to adapt to new situations that include personal/physical/mental interactions and became dependable.
  • I was selected for our High school’s Varsity team from my Freshman-Senior years. I was selected for my competition team for 3 years; I developed how to understand my teammates and become a leader in any situation. I was point, or first row, and the middle of the front row since my sophomore years. I love interacting with people and I was recognized for that. I was part of the school’s traditional team since I started. I learned how to draw attention to my coaches, judges and teammates and I was part of school spirit signs and developed how to be creative to my audience.
  • I was selected to be the 2023-2024 Varsity Cheer Captain. The requirements are: fourth year Varsity team member, Drug-free, High Academics and Puts in the challenging work. Since I started my journey with cheer, I knew I wanted to be cheer captain and I made a goal. I developed collaboration skills with all ages, dedication, and became very goal oriented. I made history and became the first person of color to become Cheer captain. I developed how to take criticism and how to schedule time for practice, a job, school, and my hobbies.
  • The cheer team provided a “kiddie camp” to encourage the community kids to build skills for the sport, sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership skills. I took part in seventh grade- Senior year. Jr high years I learned skills to teach the kiddie campers and interacted with them throughout the week. My high school years I was a “leader” and made routines, games, snacks and taught the junior high their tasks for the week. My senior year I oversaw my whole team’s attire of the week, their routines to perform to the adults/kids, select groups for the girls to be apart from, make routines for the junior high and interact with the kiddie campers.

  • I was a part of my high school chemistry club for all my high school years and by my senior year I was selected to be president.
  • We held science days to the elementary school and middle school. We would use direct experiments to educate the younger students about ENG & STEM. We collaborated with the students and the teachers to attract the students’ attention.
  • I was one of four selected students from my high school to be a part of The Ohio State University Youth Participatory Action Research collaborative (Y.P.A.R.). Using quantitative and qualitative research, people skills and how to collaborate with others. I was able to see how other schools were like and what problems they faced and tried to create a solution.
  • I was inducted to be a part of the Shadyside High School National Honors Society and was selected to be Vice president my senior year. We would hold a yearly cake auction that all profits would go straight to the leukemia society. We also held two blood drives every school year. I learned how to communicate with my board, teachers, and student body.
  • I was part of my Youth Led organization in my first year and senior year. We provided free lunch, mental health information and female products.

  • We met our representatives and got to meet people all over the world and talk about our government. We also shared our concerns and thoughts with other kids from the country.

  • I was chosen from my senior class. Then I was chosen to be the 2023 Homecoming Queen from my whole School. I was the FIRST person of color/ Hispanic woman to be selected as Shadyside’s Homecoming Queen.
  • I Graduated with the top 20% of my class with a 4.3 GPA and graduated with Honors. I took all the honors classes offered at my high school. I started CCP+ classes in my junior year. Entering my senior year, I had all my credit hours done and I decided to go part time and attend OUE to start my college career. I developed time management skills, how to speak to adults, the difference between college and high school and work life. I went to high school and college, work and practice every day in my senior year.
  • I was selected to be Class President all four years. I have learned how to fundraise, collaborate with the school administrators/student body/ teachers/ community and to lead. I took charge of what/how/when to raise money for our class, school essentials and needs in our school building. I have mentioned to my administrators of the lack of voice the students have in their education, I learned how to stand up and be a voice to those who do not have a voice.

Community Service

Guatemala City, 2015, 2023, Missionary trips to Guatemala 2015/2019/2023, Physical labor to build a second floor for a church and educating the local community about personal hygiene and feminine products. Learning how to collaborate with the community, pastors, locals how to improve their churches/structures. Understanding how other countries use supplies (little supplies) to solve solutions and create a new way of thinking.
