Isabella Salcido

I am currently in cosmetology school training to be a hairstylist. I have been doing this for about six months now, and have thoroughly enjoyed this program. I will be in the school for another year before I graduate. I have already finished my freshman training, and I am on the floor doing services for clients such as haircuts, color, waxing, etc. I am learning about business, as well as how to interact with customers. Overall, I am enjoying this school and I’m excited for the year to come..

• I attended The River Academy in Wenatchee, and learned an immense amount of valuable lessons there. I learned about the Lord, as well as how to think, speak, and write in an educated manor. my biggest achievement there was an assignment I spent my whole senior year on. In the summer of 2023, I had to pick a subject to study and collect information on for my senior thesis. I spent a whole year writing, rewriting, memorizing, researching, speaking, and investing my thoughts in and on this assignment. After writing a 20 page paper along with a work sided page in MLA format that I had perfected and rewritten many times, I got up in front of a panel and presented my thesis to a crowd. I had to memorize a 20 minute speech along with a slideshow, and was interrogated with questions at the end. While this was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, I gained so much knowledge on how to research properly, speak intelligently, and overall be confident in myself.
