Summary

I'm a sophomore at Francis W. Parker Day School. I'm a three sport athlete, playing field hockey, basketball and softball. I have games and daily practices, and one evening per week I tutor special needs kids. I am dependable as well as adaptive. I enjoy helping others with whatever they need. Currently, I'm looking to gain experience working in retail as I have a love for fashion. While I lack experience in retail, I have skills that can positively contribute to a work environment. One being my time management ability. Most everyday I plan what I need to do during that day making sure there is time for everything. Being a student athlete I have to balance both work and school in an even manner. I am also honest, trustworthy and dependable. I treat everyone and everything I do with care. I am out going and enjoy getting to know people. I will feel very comfortable talking to customers in a retail store because I easily connect with people.

This is a non profit that I have been volunteering at. Currently I tutor this little girl who is a bit behind in school. This organization offers help to those who are underprivileged. I meet with my student once a week and we do any school work she may have as well as work on learning new concepts. I have successfully helped her to learn the alphabet as well as teaching her how to count to certain numbers and we have started to work on adding numbers together.

During my time here, I was able to connect with Jewish kids and adults with special needs. I was enrolled in the choir class where I helped to guide this group to learn how to sing a few songs for their concert. Unfortunately due to covid, I was un able to attend the end concert that they worked so hard to prepare for. Even now, I think about the connections I made with these people. We had nothing in common other then our religion and that was just enough to let them feel comfortable around me.
