While in the Navy I advanced quickly to E-5 Petty Officer Second Class with only 18 months of service. I have do far earned several awards including the National Defense Service medal, Sea Service Deployment ribbon, and Handgun Marksmanship Medal. I served first at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Six (HSC-6) where I worked within the maintenance department in support of aircraft records upkeep for 6 MH-60S helicopters. Later, I moved to the Quality Assurance division to revamp the Technical Data Management program for 9 months.
After spending two years at this command I was transfered to HSC-23. My specific roles are Logs & Records, Aircraft Records and Reporting, Support Equipment Planned Maintenance System, and Aircraft Armament System records management. My main role is to ensure that the maintenance department accurately documents maintenance performed in a computer program called NALCOMIS OOMA.
