My day-to-day as a maintenance contractor for Cheniere Energy includes supporting Cheniere instrument technicians with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on stage 3 instrumentation and controls. This also included commissioning and start-up of new units turned over by Bechtel.

• Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters (using Fluke and TREX communicators).
• Inspect and test control valves, positioners, solenoids, and actuators.
• Respond to quick reports, emergency work orders, and other tasks when needed.
• Troubleshoot/repair facility instrumentation.
• Cause and effect testing.
• Complete work orders, calibration reports, and write new service requests if needed.
• Perform proof testing on new instrumentation turned over by Bechtel.
• Assist in the startup of new mid-scale units.

Retail Services Specialists are responsible for managing and operating all shipboard retail and service activities, and they play a large role in the morale of the ship.

Procuring and receiving ship's store stock.

• Maintaining financial records and accounting systems.
• Maintaining inventory and procurement databases.
• Serving as cash collection agents.
• Operating and maintaining vending and cash collection machines.
• Managing and operating ship's barber shops.
• Managing and operating the ship’s retail services, such as ship stores, coffee shops, and video games.
