Dedicated and ready to learn student nurse skilled in patient assessment, clinical documentation, and medication administration. Committed to delivering compassionate care and enhancing patient outcomes through effective communication and critical thinking.
This rotation will be used to transform my clinical thinking and judgement by using all the information I already know but using critical thinking to see things that I wouldn't have seen starting nursing school.
This rotation was used to build on the skills I learned from my first placement. During this time under the supervision of a preceptor I was able to use all the nursing interventions from the previous semester but also with the other added skills such as IV insertion, IV medication administration, tracheostomy care, and changing of central line dressings.
Able to provide and implement foundational nursing care under the supervision of a preceptor. Nursing interventions that were focused on during this rotation were physical assessments, ambulation assistance, bed baths, dental care, linen changes, wound care, oral medication administration, and subcutaneous injection administration.
