Hello! My name is Isaiah Selva and I’m a Bay Area native who’s been involved in booking shows since 2016! Whether it’s been for my own bands (Trip Dive, Busy Lighthouse, & Hear In Color) or for up-and-coming artists around the scene, I’ve found a true love in being able to take part in this beautiful artistic community that the Bay Area has to offer. I love to see people and communities grow through expression, and it’s always an honor to be able to have a small part in that! Music is not only my first love but also a passion, and I have been lucky enough to be able to work alongside many talented individuals. I'm looking for a role that will allow me to continue networking and forming relationships with artists/venues looking to pursue their craft further.
Supporting the booking department and talent buyers with administrative, organizational and venue assistance. Venues include: The Masonic, August Hall, Cafe Du Nord, Swedish American Hall, The Chapel, and Rickshaw Stop to name a few.
Working & communicating with local venues + clients to put together shows. This includes negotiations pertaining to pricing, schedules, payout, merchandising, backlining, promoting/marketing, security, social media presence, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
On-call stagehand for various shows across the Bay Area. Tasks would include helping move + carry heavy gear and stage equipment in and out of the tour trucks to the stage and working with each band/artist’s road crew team to move as swiftly & efficiently as possible each night prior to each show as well as after the performance.
Venues included: Toyota Pavilion at Concord, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Oakland Arena
Tasks include greeting & assisting customers as they walk in, demonstrating products for new buyers, running the cash register, accounting & finance analysis, heavy marketing/promotion online & with social media across multiple platforms, lesson scheduling & organizing sales, cleaning + organization around the whole shop, product delivery, customer service and mobile support.
Assistance with organizing and cleaning around the building as well as helping at the front desk with lesson scheduling + tending to customers
