I am an active and motivated student with hands-on lab experience gained through the Burke Neurological Institute summer program affiliated with Weill Cornell. There I developed a strong passion for laboratory work and a keen interest in pathology and hematology which is highlighted by my significant research project exploring the relationship between depression and anxiety in individuals with Von Willebrand disease (VWD). VWD is a clotting disorder in the blood, one that I have myself and have found is very under researched. My unique perspective, shaped by my personal experiences with mental health challenges and VWD, fuels a commitment to contribute meaningfully to scientific advancements in these critical areas. I am prepared to leverage skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on medical research and enhance patient outcomes.
