As a Level 3 Data Center Operator, I specialize in the monitoring, maintenance, and critical mechanical and electrical systems to provide uninterrupted power and uptime.
My responsibilities include managing critical substations, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, automatic transfer switches (ATS), distribution bus, and PDUs operating at 480V, 415V, and 280V. RPPs at 208 V. I am also responsible for maintaining essential data center cooling systems, including centrifugal chillers, DP500 AHUs, and PRCUs, to sustain optimal environmental conditions. My role focuses on preserving system reliability, performing preventive maintenance, and responding quickly to alerts to support continuous operation and high-performance computing for our clients.
Assisted with the installation of new building equipment.
Troubleshot and repaired plumbing issues such as retrofit water pumps, clogged drains, and leaking faucets.
Maintained records of all work performed in a timely manner.
Ensured compliance with all safety regulations during repair activities.
Performed preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, pumps, motors, chillers, generators, electrical panels, transformers, and other related equipment.
Inspected buildings and grounds to identify any safety hazards or needed repairs.
Installed new lighting fixtures, replaced ballasts, and bulbs as needed.
Monitored vendor escorts and movements, and scheduled vendor maintenance windows.
Coordinate with customers regarding scheduled and emergency maintenance windows.
Creating, submitting, and reviewing work orders and MOPs/SOPs.
Commissioning and startup of PDUs, RPPs, and other critical equipment.
Operation of the generator for load bank testing and preventive maintenance.
Comprehension of critical mechanical and electrical redundancy N+1 configuration.
